#TruthAboutWhoYouAre | Day 1
I am complete in Him who is the Head of all principality and power. Colossians 2:10
I read this scripture and I want believe that “I am complete” but my thoughts like to point out all the areas of my life that look “incomplete, flawed, full of lack, and undone”. It’s like with one hand, I hold on to the truth of God’s Word and with the other hand I am holding onto lies that rob me of experiencing the joy of knowing I am complete in Christ.
How do we deal with this kind of frustration? We know what the Word says but the world we live in can leave us feeling less than. The reality is we do experience lack. We do experience pain. We experience the struggle of waiting for prayers to be answered. We can see the brokenness with our eyes, we can feel the ache with our hearts, but the only way to move forward is to make a conscious decision to stand on the truth of God’s Word regardless of what we can see or how we feel. (2 Corinthians 4:18)
So we don't look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever. 2 Corinthians 4:18
Know that if you have given your life to Christ, you have been made complete. Don’t allow yourself to believe the lie that because “you are without ___” that you are incomplete. To experience the joy of knowing we are complete we have to keep our focus on who Christ is and believe His word. Ask God to renew your mind and help you to see yourself the way He sees you. (Romans 12:2). Read the word of God which is promised to set us free. (John 8:32) Keep your eyes fixed on on God and not the circumstances. (2 Corinthians 4:18)
