I am alive with Christ

But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us,  even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— Ephesians 2:4-5

Can I just say that I am so thankful for the grace of God. I can try as hard as I want to do the right things but it is just not possible to live a life free from sin. There are times that I think I am starting to get the hang of things and then I am reminded of my need for a savior. I am so thankful that my security in my relationship with God is not dependent on my perfection but rather on his unfailing love for me.

There was a season in my life that I was not living my life for God at all. Deep down, I knew there was more to life. I wanted to break free from patterns and habits that were leading me no where but wasn’t sure how. I tried and tried to change but I was simply stuck.

The point that began to change everything was when I cried out to God and asked for help. I recognized my need for a savior and that I couldn’t make the changes on my own. I needed to be changed from the inside out. I didn’t experience an overnight transformation although from that moment I was never the same.

Remember that no matter what decisions you have made you can be seconds away from receiving God’s grace. Just simply ask. Christ didn’t wait for us to choose Him to love us - He loved us knowing that we might not ever reciprocate. He gave all of Himself so that we can experience life. He loves you. He loves you. He loves you.
