#TruthAboutWhoYouAre

This is Day 20 of 48 of the #TruthAboutWhoYouAre series. Thank you so much for joining in on this journey with me. I hope you are inspired over this 7 week series.

Today’s post is written by someone I have known for decades and absolutely love! Her name is Meghan Robinson  Her and her husband @careyrobinsonoc are my pastors at @theocmovement. She's one of the most passionate people I know and I am so excited to share her thoughts on today's verse. Follow along in her journey and inspiring posts via Instagram: @divapastor

I am God’s workmanship, created in Christ unto good works - Ephesians 2:10

This is one of my favorite scriptures. A reminder that everyone of us needs, over and over again! We are God’s workmanship! Pause…..right there…… WOW! You, me, we are perfectly crafted and chosen by God; a piece of His art!

This alone is enough to write about, to pause and think on! You and I are the handiwork of God. His masterpiece! Yet, how often do we criticize and question ourselves? Our criticisms and doubts are nothing but a slap in the face to a brilliant designer who had a plan before we took a breath. He fashioned you exactly as you are with a purpose.

The problem comes when we begin to compare one work of art to another. Comparison is always the root of all inferiority! When you compare yourself to another….in looks, personality, talent… you will always fall short. God did not make you to be them, he made you to be YOU! So do it...be the absolute BEST version of YOU that you can be!

Now as you begin to walk in confidence in the YOU that you were created to be….remember it’s not just about YOU! God is always working in us so that He can work through us. He fashioned you with a purpose to do great things that were prepared in advance for you to do.

So how do you identify what that is?

  1. What are you passionate about?
  2. What are you good at?
  3. How can you take those two things and use them to affect the kingdom of God?
  4. Ask a leader in your life what they see you being great at and how you can begin putting your gifts and passions into action.
  5. Do something! (It’s not enough to come to a realization that God was intentional in designing you. It’s time to live intentionally! It is always easier to steer a car that is in motion rather than standing still. So just start somewhere and allow God to direct your path!)

For we are God's [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].

You were made for this!

xoxo
