#TruthAboutWhoYouAre

This is Day 29 of 48 of the #TruthAboutWhoYouAre series. Thank you so much for joining in on this journey with me. I hope you are inspired over this 7 week series.

Today’s post is written by someone I have known since I was a little girl and absolutely love! She has helped me successfully navigate through many of life's challenges. Her name is Meghan Robinson  Her and her husband @careyrobinsonoc are my pastors at @theocmovement. She's one of the most passionate people I know and I am so excited to share her thoughts on today's verse. Follow along in her journey and inspiring posts via Instagram: @divapastor

I am an ambassador for Christ - 2 Corinthians 5:20

In Washington DC you will find many foreign embassies as well as the homes of each of their ambassadors. Although these ambassadors live in Washington DC, it is not their home. An ambassador represents the kingdom or country they are from.

2 Corinthians 5:20 we are reminded that we are Christ’s ambassadors here on planet earth at this time in history! This is not our home. We have been plucked out of eternity and put on the planet for such a time as this! We have a job to do!

As an ambassador for Christ, I have a responsibility to open my mouth and share my story. To share the hope that is found in Jesus Christ! Sometimes we shy away from sharing our faith because we don’t want to be pushy or we are afraid of what the other person will think! I think we can easily forget how important our role is in the big picture. Jesus is counting on us, his people to represent him well.

Romans 10:14 says “How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?”

Preaching does not mean you have a microphone in your hand or a bullhorn and sign on the side of the road (in fact….please do not ever do  that! ) Preaching happens with your life, as you walk out your story! It happens as you lend a hand to those in need, as you share hope with your co-worker or a frustrated parent at your child’s school. It happens when you pray for your friends who are struggling, not just privately but with them. You don’t have to have a degree in theology to share your faith…just your story!

We are Christ’s ambassadors representing His Kingdom and we have a part to play in history, right now in the sphere of influence he has placed you in! Be Brave and Speak Up!
